Overview of briefing
0:00-1:15 – Intro and background
John’s background is software design and development. He now runs the partner API program after running and building the initial Drive Wealth API platform.
1:15 – 3:15 – Product & API Demo
Demonstration of the Drive Wealth API by using a custom built software application of an example banking application. This workflow was designed to showcase what an application can look like. Partners have the ability to completely control the user experience to create the best UI possible for the end user while offering equity investments to their end users.
Many digital wallets and banks are trying to re-bundle banking services with everything from payments to banking and purchasing equities to bring them to the client in one application.
John showcased Apple, Google, Amazon, Tesla, Starbucks, GM, Ford as available equities to purchase.
3:15 – 6:00 – Onboarding and Investing API Functionality
Demonstration of onboarding to open a brokerage account for an end user. Demo walks through what is required for a bank to onboard their client to begin making trades.
The application walkthrough covers information required and the API formatting that defines the account management type to notify the Drive Wealth system of how to behave.
6:00 – 9:52 – Admin Function & Mock Trades
Drive Wealth admin dashboard is demonstrated and a mock trade is shown purchasing Starbucks via the API focusing on the fractional ownership of a Starbucks share, which Drive Wealth was the first in the world to do.
Highlights were made that ensure the end user investor never under or overspends. John discussed the benefits and versatility of the platform including buying fractional shares of Berkshire Hathaway A shares.
