Digital Asset Holdings Technical Briefing

About Digital Asset Holdings

Digital Asset Holdings is an exchange in a box.

Overview of briefing

0:00 – 2:10

Eric introduces Digital Asset Holdings and the concept of DAML. DAML is a framework for creating networks of systems of record. He points out the flaws associated with the modern reconciliation framework and outlines how DAML can solve the problem in a short frame of time. As a developer friendly tool, a “competent” engineer should be able to have a working prototype up within hours or days.  DAML can be used for reconciliation systems, peer to peer wagering without counterparty risk, or even markets for new asset classes that would’ve been otherwise inaccessible.

2:10 – 3:30

Explanation of the alternatives in the market and the costs (monetary and time related) associated with each one. Broad cost benefit analysis of legacy systems versus the Digital Asset Holdings way.

3:30 – 5:30

Eric begins the live demo of the DAML system using Bitcoin to USD as an example of a market. Running on the live production system using Exberry as an example client.

5:30 – 8:15

Live demo begins with an explanation of the assets available to be exchanged through the system. In this, three are available: Bitcoin, USD, and TSLA stock.

To start, a transfer of TSLA for USD will take place.

8:15 – 9:50

Switching to the back end, the demo shifts to how the markets are set up. The data is broken up by party and permissions limit data visibility between those parties.

9:50 – 11:30

Discussion of the layered logic and where certain pieces of logic need to live within a decentralized system. Please excuse the sneeze.

Data visibility is a key component of the product and Eric dives deeper into who can see what and when.

11:30 – 12:51

Walking through the integrations available inside the DAML system. Open APIs are made available through the partner ecosystem.

Eric closes the demo by summarizing the value of Digital Asset Holdings and the simplicity associated with the DAML platform.
